Fanny Pack Antics is a site designed with one purpose in mind, to highlight the hilarity of foreign tourists around the world. With that in mind, let’s first take a look at some of the interest people that we found, or more importantly, some of the interesting people that we took photos of who were wearing fanny packs, backpacks or waist bags.
Look at this Western tourist, looks like he’s trying to get ass on the streets of Thailand; maybe just maybe, he’ a nice old man asking for directions? I’ll let you be the judge of that

The only thing that could possible make this photo better would be the inclusion of a fanny pack but this man. Why would this make the photo better? Obviously it would pose the question of what that fanny pack actually contained. It could just be travel essentials or perhaps something more sinister?
That leads us on to this next photo….
This was sent in to us by a user named John Smith (obviously a fake name) I mean, who else would take a photo of this man? I know that I certainly wouldn’t.

It looks like he’s just out for a fun day at the beach, right? Well he’s not actually wearing any closes :O The good news for us is, he’s actually wearing a fanny pack – the basic idea of a fanny pack is carry things, only god knows what he is carrying in his little bag. Yes, I do mean that.
On the bright side though…. Well there isn’t a bright side to this story – that is just plain old disgusting. Hopefully one day this guy will lose weight so we don’t have to be worried about what he is wearing at the beach. This could send children blind after all. Now we’re left with our last photo, which is of course that of a smiling happy family.
Yep, don’t they look happy? Perhaps they’ve been spending too much time with each other or not enough? All I know is that little boy is having the time of his life, or maybe he’s just really angry. What this does show however, is a nice contrast between the happy (or angry) young boy right through to the mother and what looks like a grandmother… don’t you just love family?
What’s your favourite fanny pack moment?
Have you ever been travelling and experienced a fanny pack moment that you found hilarious and just wanted to share it with the world? Well mine was simple, I was on a train with my then girl friend, we didn’t realise that this stop was our stop. In a panic we had to jump of the train while it was moving.
Long story short, we suffered some scrapped knees and bruised arms – but the fanny packs remained unharmed. Well… except for the $1,000 camera that was inside of my girl friends. The whole experience made us feel somewhat like Indiana Jones, after all he carries a fanny pack or a satchel which is sometimes referred to as a man bag.
There’s one thing that we can all agree on, however, a man bag does not compete, or in fact doesn’t even come close to a fanny pack. They are in fact the most stylish thing that person could wear. My mission is simple, we want to:
Bring back the fanny pack!
Hmm that kind of rhymes, but yes we want to bring back the fanny pack or waist bag and have it once more as an item of style. With that in mind, I ask you to do one thing for more and that’s to start wearing your fanny pack.
If we can get enough people that love fanny packs as much as I do, then we should be able to set a trend. Then eventually everybody will follow and the world will be dominated by the fanny pack.

While traveling in Italy a young Roma (gypsy) unzipped one pocket of my
fanny pack and had her hand inside before I knew what was happening.
Thankfully the only thing in that particular pocket was a Depends, no
money or passport. Being a grey haired senior I sort of made a scene
chasing her down the railway plataform.
haha at the guy at the naked guy
