Well, look at the other people on the street. I’d consider this one more to be “Because they’re white”. Or, better yet- They’re fat and white. Obviously American.
And the strap on the woman’s back likely belongs to some hideous touristy fannypack replacement.

I don’t think you have to be hyper-sensitive to see that a cheap, low-blow fat joke is a little mean. “It’s hard not to” obviously refers to the way she takes up much of the frame… it’s just mean-spirited.

i think this is more about the fact that they are fat white people surrounded by tiny asians…duh! lol

it’s the obviously american tourists amongst asians everywhere… Don’t be so touchy. It’s not mean to say this woman is fat because she is terribly obese.
