Nowhere are generation gaps more apparent than fashion — especially when you’re on a family cruise to Hawaii. “My mom has a funny sense of the word ‘Matching’,” writes Sparkelle about what her mother wore on their vacation. Really? Until now we thought a hot pink baseball hat and a bright blue fanny pack matched with everything.

We’d say getting your child addicted to Starbucks at the prepubescent age of 9 isn’t a good move. In this case, Mommy from Massachusetts wants to prove that she and her adoring princess can easily become part of a city that never sleeps. With only a few triple Ventis they can: briskly walk to the Empire State Building then take a jog to the Radio City Music Hall, run to the giant FAO Schwartz and walk around the corner for more Starbucks. Actually, we heard the white powdery stuff works just as well and is about the same price as Starbucks, its main competitor.
