How to be hated in a tourist clump

February 7, 2008 · No Comments

Imagine: you’re an AARP reader, you’re attending a Chinese New Year concert at Radio City Music Hall, and you’re part of a tour group from somewhere South. So what do you to make the rest of your khaki-and-navy-wearing friends hate you? Wear pastel. If it was up to us, we’d make her change before getting back in that van.

Keep your kid sight-seeing for $5

We’d say getting your child addicted to Starbucks at the prepubescent age of 9 isn’t a good move. In this case, Mommy from Massachusetts wants to prove that she and her adoring princess can easily become part of a city that never sleeps. With only a few triple Ventis they can: briskly walk to the Empire State Building then take a jog to the Radio City Music Hall, run to the giant FAO Schwartz and walk around the corner for more Starbucks. Actually, we heard the white powdery stuff works just as well and is about the same price as Starbucks, its main competitor.
