Things you should look for: the first is whether the zips on the fanny packs are made for strong conditions. They should be big – the bigger the better. You should also look at the fabric, make sure that it is synthetic as this will be more durable then something that is natural. There will also be a higher chance that it would be water proof.
One thing that you must avoid is Velcro – make sure you do not buy a fanny pack that has it. Why? because over time, the Velcro starts to ware, such to the point that it no longer becomes the most practically item to carry.
You should also keep in mind the size of the fanny pack, if you are carrying larger items, then obviously you would want a large fanny pack. If you were to carry smaller items, then it would make sense for you to be carrying a smaller fanny pack. There is nothing worst than getting the wrong size fanny pack and finding you do not have enough room, or that you got one that was too big and you have wasted space.
In conclusion, although hunters fanny packs may have gone out of style back in the day. They are still a very practical item for people that wish to carry their items when out in the wild. Just remember one thing, it is not like there is anybody around to judge you for your poor fashion sense. That being said, buy a hunters fanny pack – you will like it
